“Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight,
I wish I
may, I wish I might,
Have this
wish I wish tonight.”
In this
time of togetherness and joy, I wish to thank you, and I wish to beg you.
I wish to
thank you for all the nights I tuck in my son to bed, kiss my husband good
night, and go to sleep in a warm, comfy bed.
And I wish
to beg you to watch over those who have not a mother or father to tuck them in,
know not the tenderness of a spouse’s kiss, or have only the cold floor as a
bed.
I wish to
thank you for giving me the health I need to be a good provider for my family,
along with my husband, and for the brightness of my son in school and sports.
And I wish
to beg you to help those who have not the strength to carry their own weight,
and still they struggle to feed their young’s, and give them the hope of a
better future with any type of education they can get their hands on.
I wish to
thank you for the sweetness of my son, who understands the cost of life - even
if he sometimes forgets it for brief moments – and is able to share with those
less fortunate than him.
And I wish
to beg you that every little child capable of sharing knows how important that
is, and those not capable of it find the will to do so, urgently.
I wish to thank
you that my own are safe, healthy and happy, with less than they desire but far
more than they need to have a smile on their face and stars shining in their
eyes;
But beg you
for all of those that suffer, forgotten how to smile or wonder if they will
ever shed a tear of happiness instead of suffering. There are those who even
forgotten how to cry with all the horror they are going thru.
I wish to
thank you for all my Blessings.
And I wish
to beg you to Bless all those in need.
